The Metamorphosis of Gregor is scored for trombone ensemble in 11 notes per octave, orchestral percussion and electronics. All of the sound in this recording was performed on a Alesis Q49, Simmons SDMP1, Seagull Acoustic guitar, and voice. The Alesis Q49 was used to compose the trombone ensemble and the Simmons SDMP1 to perform the percussion. The acoustic sound sources were manipulated by computer to yield the sounds you hear.

The title comes from Franz Kafka’s book The Metamorphosis – an excellent read.
