reformatting a nuisance is a study in manipulating fm operators on a Prophet 12 desk module (two tracks). In addition there is a pad using u-he Brazille layered into the mix. All of the tracks use a JI base tuning though seeing how changes in operators affect pitch and timbre I cannot lay claim to a particular pitch set overall for the piece as it changes with time and is part of the experiment. One thing is certain. The piece is long clocking in at just under 10 minutes. It takes time to go through menus and change parameters.

I think this is what people who Own one of those prophet 12 things should be doing.. I know that the timbres and textures are designed thru and thru — into what it is.. I feel it’s the actual note values that are eclipsed by the the note qualities that are so so great. Maybe there is a second version that this should have, not just backwards or something like that, but also re-engineered in a kind of recursive like digression, in a way sorta coming out of these finial settings .. mmm Just saying.
