Now that Oli from Oddsound assisted me with getting the MTS system to work with Equator 2 I tried to apply the same routing to my Futuresonus Parva 8 voice MPE synth. The Parva is now a rare kickstarter synth that was an early entry into the MPE hardware world. Unfortunately I was unable to talk Brad, the designer of this synth, into adding microtonal capability. MTS is the answer to that wish. While I could get the Linnstrument => MTS => Parva to work nicely in play mode in Cakewalk, I ran into severe problems when I tried to record in Cakewalk. So, I recorded these sound files into my Zoom H2 using the headphone out of my audio interface into the H2 and then to monitoring headphones. I still have work to do to determine what is at fault. However, even getting this far is still a win. Three examples follow – 17 edo, Gene Ward Smith Hanson, and Harmonic Series segment 16 – 32.
